Since 2019 Roescheisen has explored the interplay of philosophy, music, and quantum physics. In the series Vibrational Strings, the artist presents her hypothesis of “emotional waves,” likening them to sound and magnetic waves, which connect individuals attuned to diverse frequencies that bind them together as “emitting poles” and “receiving poles.” The physicality of Roescheisen‘s creative process is integral, as her hand becomes a conduit for transmitting emotions onto the canvas. Time unfolds as Roescheisen‘s hand moves intuitively across the surface, gradually building layers with paint, earth’s minerals, and ink.
Each layer builds upon the last, encapsulating the emotional depth and complexity expressed throughout the process. Using a feather and ink, Roescheisen intricately draws thousands of fine lines, representing emotional frequencies. These vibrations form her unique visual language akin to a symphony of notes on a musical score. Each canvas resonates with its inherent frequency, emanating its unique aura into the viewer’s perceptual realm, resulting in a shared energy field.
